Our workshop is ideal for both beginners and experienced photographers. Whilst a basic understanding of camera function is helpful, we’ll teach simple, effective techniques to enable you to capture gorgeous wedding images. You’ll also walk away with a fabulous starter portfolio to help secure your own bookings and improved management skills to run the wedding day smoothly.

We simplify complex concepts into easy-to-understand techniques, covering ISO, aperture, and metering to help you adapt seamlessly to different lighting conditions. By the end of the workshop, you'll have a clear, efficient workflow that lets you embrace creativity and storytelling rather than struggle with your gear.

Our stunning bridal model Claire is also an experienced wedding photographer and tutor on our workshop. With her extensive knowledge of wedding photography, Claire brings a unique perspective to the sessions, offering expert advice and practical tips that help participants improve both their technical skills and ability to capture the perfect moments.

Course leader David is a qualified teacher with over twenty years' experience in wedding photography. His extensive background in both education and the wedding industry allows him to provide expert guidance, share valuable insights, and teach practical skills that help photographers of all levels enhance their craft.

Wedding workshop Terms & Conditions

With regard to this document the terms we, us, our and ourselves refers to David Paul Photography. The term ticket refers to a valid PayPal email receipt confirming purchase. The terms you, your, yourselves and student refers to the holder of a valid ticket.

  1. We reserve the right to alter or vary the content or timing of any part of the workshop.
  2. We reserve the right to refuse admission to a student under the influence of drugs/alcohol, showing signs of illness, acting dangerously or inappropriately.
  3. There are no refunds for bad weather. We strongly advise that you come dressed appropriately for an outdoor model shoot.
  4. We do not accept any responsibility for any loss or damage to personal property brought to the workshop.
  5. We do not accept any responsibility for any personal accidents that happen during the workshop.
  6. You may be recorded for broadcast or publication whilst at the course by us.
  7. You are not permitted to bring any animals to the workshop.
  8. Please check course details and timings prior to travelling as these maybe subject to change.
  9. Please check your route prior to travelling to ensure you arrive on time. We are not responsible for any delays due to travel disruption.
  10. You will not be allowed admission to the workshop without a valid ticket.
  11. If you cancel for any reason, e.g. illness, we may be able to offer you a place on a future workshop depending on availability. If your transfer request is successful, you will be expected to pay an additional fee of £50 to cover our hotel costs for the rescheduled training day. This is offered on a good will basis only and any transfer agreed can only happen once.
  12. No refunds are possible. In the unlikely event of your workshop date being cancelled by us, you will be offered a place on our next available workshop, usually the following month.
  13. If your workshop date is cancelled by us or if you cannot attend, we cannot be held responsible for any resulting costs you may incur for travel, accommodation etc.
  14. Every effort will be made to admit latecomers at a suitable break in the workshop, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
  15. In accordance with the law, students aged under 18 are not permitted to purchase alcoholic drinks.
  16. All students must bring with them on the day a DSLR or mirrorless camera with a lens. We do not supply equipment.
